Dallas High Five

This series is based on the so-called “High 5” in Dallas. It is so named because there are 5 layers of roadway where US Hwy. 74 intersect with Interstate Highway 635. The design of the overpasses contains art deco elements and colors. I chose to create photo composites using art deco patterns from the 1930’s. In each case I chose a pattern that I felt complimented the image and digitally blended these two components together. Some in the series also contain hand embellishments.
